Growing up in South Jersey, Jim Mazzotta was surrounded by the vibrant sights and eccentric characters of the boardwalk during the 60s and 70s. This unique upbringing provided a colorful backdrop for his artistic endeavors. As an adult, Jim found himself on the shores of SW Florida, working as a political cartoonist, illustrator, and news photo director in the newspaper industry. His award-winning cartoons have been featured in prestigious publications such as the NY Times, US News, and London Times.

Jim and his talented wife, Kathleen, now own Jungle Drums Gallery, an island art gallery just steps away from the Gulf of Mexico on Captiva Island. When they're not relaxing on the beach with a glass of merlot, they often collaborate on art projects. Northwest Art Mall is honored to include Jim in our collection of renowned artists.
